It’s that time of year again when the world comes together to honor the remarkable achievements of women at all levels in recent decades. Women are an important part of society, whether in form of mother, sister, daughter, wives, colleagues e.t.c. More women are now participating in the labour market, and in more senior roles which is causing a change in global mentality. This is excellent news for women, their families, businesses, and the economies of their countries.

Diverse and inclusive cultures are essential to us at Reaprite, and for international women's day, we are choosing to challenge gender-based stereotypes and imparity. All women should be free to lead their lives and have an equal say in social, economic, cultural, and political matters that affect them.

Women have continuously made history in our world and in the spirit of international women’s day we have highlighted some exemplary women who have chosen to challenge the norm at various levels in recent times by doing it all

  1. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the first woman and first African to head the World Trade Organization since its founding in 1995.

2. Vice President Kamala Harris became the United States’ first female vice president.

3. Chloe Zhao won the Golden Globe for Best Director, making her the first Asian woman to do so.

4. Amina J. Mohammed is now the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group.

5. Christine Lagarde became the first woman to head the European Central Bank on November 1, 2019.

A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.
So let’s all choose to challenge. Celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.
